Chapter 2 Job:

This week your group will be designing a bulletin board advertising Call It Courage. Our goal is to create a bulletin board that will encourage people passing to read the book. We will analyze advertising on products such as cereal boxes and movie posters to give us ideas for our bulletin board. Rough drafts will be due Friday.

Chapter 1 Job List:

1) Cover Page Illustrator

     Your job, illustrious Illustrator, is to create a coverpage for your group's work.

     It should include the following:

          - The Book's Title

          - Which Chapter You Read

          - The Names of Everyone in Your Group

          - ...and Most Importantly, A Colored Drawing of the Most Important Part of Your Chapter

     Please review your finished product with your group before you turn it in.

2) Summarizer

     Your job, insightful Summarizer, is to summarize, in a detailed paragraph, what your group

     read about this week. Your paragraph should be written with precision, indented, and free of

     spelling errors. Please review your paragraph with your group before you turn it in.

3) Characterizer

     Your job, brave Characterizer, is to create a list of all the characters mentioned so far in the story.

     Once you have created your list, please describe each character in two to three sentences. While you

     can include their physical appearance, please try to include how they are important to the story and

     what kind of a person they are. Please review your paragraph with your group before you turn it in.

4) Journalist

     Your job, enterprising Journalist, is to create a front-page article about the most important part of

     the story so far. Your front page should be realistic including the name of your newspaper, an

     eye-catching "photo", a caption for your photo, and a sensationalized article describing the most

     important part of your reading. Please review your finished product with your group before you turn

     it in.
