Announcements!

• Students, please start thinking about a book you would like to read for the month of December.

          This month, I would like to challenge you to read a classic piece of literature!

        Remember to choose a book that you think you can finish in three weeks. Spend the first three weeks of December reading the book,

        and reserve the last 7 - 10 days to work on the report.

        The report will be due January 4th.

                 Here is a checklist that you can fill out as you read your book. You will save time by filling this out as you go!

• Guitars have arrived! A big "Thank you!" to Mrs. Partin at Pinon Elementary for the loan of the guitars. Guitar Club will officially begin Monday, October 5th from 10:00 - 10:15 (during morning recess). My plan is to have Guitar Club every full school day during morning and afternoon recess. All students interested are invited to attend.

• "Morning Math Club" has begun! We meet every morning from 7:45 - 8:15 to work on "Fun and Unusual" types of math. This includes math games, algebra, logic problems, and Word Problem Solving Strategies. Please join us if you are able!

• Our "Reading Lunch Book Club" is in full swing! We meet during lunch on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The current book we are reading is The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain. All students are welcome to participate!
